Who We Are

Rhodri Willson is a Pre registered member of the Society of Garden Designers based in the Welsh borders. He spent much of his childhood exploring gardens the length and breadth of the country, igniting an early passion for gardening which then led to a career building, maintaining and working in gardens. He spent the last 10 years honing his skill in a celebrated garden in the Black Mountains where he continues to work as head gardener. Having completed an intensive course in garden design at the Cotswold gardening school under the tutelage of Caroline Tatham from where he graduated with distinction and was awarded the prize for the best piece of work in the end of year gallery. He will be returning there as a visiting tutor in 3D visuals.

Rhodri’s design ethos is influenced not just by the wide variety of classic British gardens he visited as a child but by his time working in the Brecon Beacons where he has learned that it’s actually good to take risks and (occasionally) step outside of your design comfort zone.

Rhodri’s designs aim to excite all the senses by creating imaginative living spaces, beautiful and original, while simultaneously realistic and easy to live with.

See gallery for projects completed to date. These range from small suburban gardens to acres of wild rural landscape.
